Burt Boulton & Haywood Ltd have been treating timber with wood preservatives since 1848. Our Company was founded by two eminent railway engineers, H.P. Burt and S.B. Boulton, who laid the foundations of the timber preservation industry.
The modern bbh is a sharply focused timber preservation company operating from sites in Newport in South Wales and Leven in Fife, where we manufacture telephone poles, power transmission poles, sleepers, crossing timbers, fencing materials and a range of preserved specialist timber products.
